Drew, Red Sox reach agreement; Rhodes to Mariners; Sele to Mets (AP)
Seven weeks after agreeing to terms, outfielder J.D. Drew and the Boston Red Sox resolved their differences on his $70 million, five-year contract and were set to announce the deal Friday. A baseball official involved in the negotiations said Thursday that language covering Drew’s surgically repaired right shoulder had been agreed to.

The Detroit Tigers agreed to terms with left-hander Joey Eischen on a minor league contract Thursday.
